Cooper* Font Family: A Historical Revival
Cooper* is a meticulously researched revival of the Cooper series originally designed by Oswald Bruce Cooper in the 1920s. While Cooper Black became ubiquitous in popular culture, the regular weight Cooper with its distinctive charm has been largely forgotten over time. Designed by Owen Earl of indestructible type*, this revival preserves the organic, Art Nouveau qualities that make Cooper unique. The typeface features flowing curves, rounded serifs, and hardly a straight line to be found, creating a warm, friendly appearance while maintaining excellent legibility at text sizes. Cooper* includes ornamental characters, ligatures, variable font versions, and historical capital swash alternatives, making it versatile for both display and body text applications. This revival ensures Cooper’s complete typographic legacy endures for future generations.
