Font Introduction

Baskervville Font Family
Baskervville Font Family
Baskervville is a classic old style serif font family that revives Jacob’s interpretation of Baskerville’s typeface. Created by ANRT students in 2017-2018, it features two distinct styles – Romain and Italic – with a complete set of glyphs. While the Roman style closely resembles Baskerville’s original typefaces, the Italic draws inspiration from Didot’s typefaces, creating an interesting bridge between transitional and modern styles.
The font’s most distinctive feature is its unique ‘w’ character, essentially formed by doubling the ‘v’, which serves as the signature element of Jacob’s rendition. With its crisp edges and elegant proportions, Baskervville offers designers a sophisticated typeface that maintains the classic charm of serif fonts while adding subtle contemporary elements.
