Castle Press No2 Font

Castle Press No. 2 Font is a condensed gothic font and the second redrawn from original wood type found in the Castle Press print works, after it’s closure.

Castle Press No. 2 is close to the original but with a few tweaks. Where I have added glyphs, I have tried to stay as true to the feel of the original as possible. Limited language support, not present in the original is included.

Ornaments, catchwords and extras, found elsewhere in the wood type collection are available through the glyphs palette or Character Map depending on OS or app you’re using (refer to your OS or app documentation for details).

Includes a stackable 2 colour Union Jack found in a Delittle sample book in the collection (just as an experiment) and a separate ‘quick set’ border font inspired by a Delittle wood type border. Read the pdf for instructions and examples.
