Jacquard Font
Jacquard, derived from an expanded revival of the Victorian needlepoint alphabet by Heinrich Kuehn around 1880, has become a rare collectible in the design world.
Soft Type is a collection of fonts designed for knitting color work, available in “regular” and “graphic” versions, with some offering multiple scale options. This allows for easy application to knitwear, regardless of project size.
Knitted fonts are similar to pixel type fonts, but the pixel size is determined by yarn properties and scale is determined by yarn weight. In this collection, the number after the font name represents the uppercase height, providing a clear reference for size.
Designed for machine knitting, these fonts are also suitable for hand knitting, needlework, and other textile crafts. For complex crafts like Fair Isle knitting, careful planning is essential.
Using Jacquard and Soft Type fonts adds artistic flair and creativity to knitwear, showcasing outstanding taste in textile crafts.
