Kazimir Font Family
Kazimir Font Family is an exceptional serif typeface collection designed by Yury Ostromentsky and Ilya Ruderman in 2015. This modern serif typeface draws inspiration from Russian book and magazine typography of the late 19th to early 20th centuries, particularly the typeface used in “The History of Russian Literature” by P. N. Polevoy, published in 1900. Kazimir features five weights ranging from Light to Black, each with matching italics. The family includes two stylistic sets: Regular and Irregular, offering versatility in design.
With its slightly narrowed proportions, long extenders, and dynamic strokes, Kazimir seamlessly blends pre-revolutionary Russian typography with contemporary aesthetics, making it suitable for both headlines and short texts.
