Londrina Typeface
Londrina is a hand-lettered superfamily consisting of four styles: Londrina Solid, Londrina Shadow, Londrina Outline, and Londrina Sketch. You can combine the main style, Solid, with the others to create various effects.
The inspiration for the Londrina typeface comes from the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil, capturing the urban confusion. Initially designed as “New Folk” for a poster, featuring only uppercase letters, I recognized its potential to evoke the everyday writing seen in my city’s informal communication. This led to its development into a typeface family, now including lowercase letters. This text showcases Londrina Solid, a member of the Londrina family.
Additionally, Londrina now offers new weights: Thin, Book, and Black.
